Scott Stewart, Managing Director

Scott began working in the general insurance Industry in 1997 and as a result has extensive industry experience managing a broad range of personal and business clients. In 2009 he was appointed the Broker to AMA Queensland – specialising in broking insurance for medical professionals. Scott has a reputation for going the ‘extra mile’ for his clients and takes enormous pride in finding effective solutions at the most competitive price. In addition to serving clients, Scott also plays an important role in running the business and problem solving the day to day issues which arise. Scott has a Diploma in Financial Services (Broking) and is a Qualified Practising Insurance Broker (QPIB). Outside of the office, Scott can be found enjoying time with his family and friends or enjoying some time at the track in his race car.

Lizzie Nelson, Director

Lizzie begun working in the general insurance industry in 2004. Having years of experience providing brokering services for some Australia’s largest companies, Lizzie’s dedication to her clients is second to none. As a Director of Insurance Mentor, Lizzie is responsible for client management, strategy implementation and managing the business alongside Scott Stewart.

When not in the office Lizzie can be found enjoying the beautiful Gold Coast sunshine with her husband and toddler.

Kiri Canavan, Account Manager

Kiri is an Account Manager at Insurance Mentor and has a keen interest in Construction and Commercial risks.

Having worked with prominent builders throughout Australia, Kiri provides exemplary service to all clients she assists, and is dedicated to producing an excellent result at all times.

Kiri enjoys motor biking, hiking and mountain climbing.

Jazmin Kopec, Account Manager

Jazmin is an Account Executive and focusses on commercial insurance portfolios for clients throughout Australia. Jazmin is involved in various teams within Insurance Mentor and is a valued member of our group.

When not in the office Jazmin spends her time at the beach with her beloved dog Bruno.

Colin Patten, Account Manager

Colin has had a long and distinguished career in the Insurance industry, starting as a cadet Broker in 1966 and spending the last 55 years working in varying roles with various insurance companies and Brokers.

Colin currently looks after servicing and maintenance of the Practice, in conjunction with the claims and processing team.

Luxshi Surendran, Claims and Technical Manager

Hailing from Lloyds of London as an Insurance Lawyer, Luxshi is a key member of the Insurance Mentor Team. Managing all aspects of large and complex claims, Luxshi utilises her wealth of knowledge to manage claims in house.

Luxshi enjoys playing tennis and golf during her spare time.

Lea Mayhew, Account Manager

With 11 years of experience in the general insurance industry, Lea begun her career in the London market.

Now residing in Australia, Lea manages small to medium sized clients all over Australia.

Lea is passionate about service and consistently goes above and beyond for her clients.

When outside of the office Lea can be found enjoying live music and entertainment on the Gold Coast.

Veronica Capone, Business Manager

Veronica has been in the insurance industry for over 30 years and has seen many changes in this time. Veronica has worked on both sides of the fence in various roles, notably for CGU Insurance as a Branch Underwriter and also for Insurance Brokers. In the role of Business Manager, Veronica assists with client servicing, as well as the day to day running of the business itself.

In her spare time Veronica enjoys walking in the sunshine with her dog Coco, or relaxing by the pool enjoying our beautiful QLD weather.

Emma Wallace, Administration

With over 15 years of industry involvement Emma brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience. Emma focusses on the Administration needs of Insurance Mentor, as well as aiding various teams within the organisation.

When not in the office Emma enjoy spending time with her family.

Caitlin Apps, Account Executive

Having been in the insurance industry for over 6 years, Caitlin is an integral part of the Insurance Mentor team.

Caitlin is committed to providing exemplary service to all clients, and is in volved in multiple teams within the organisation.

When not in the office, Caitlin enjoys playing AFL at her local club and hanging out at the beach.

Lauren Patten, Account Executive

Lauren has worked in the insurance industry for the last six years and started out working in reception before working hard to complete Tier 1 and Tier 2 training to become an Assistant Broker.

When she’s not working with clients, Lauren loves spending time with her family, beach time and naturopathy.
